LongtermTrends ("we," "us," or "our") operates longtermtrends.com and related AI-powered tools including the Investment Co-Pilot and FIRE Agent. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

Our Commitment: We collect only what we need to provide the Services. We do not sell your data. Ever.

1. Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address (for authentication) and optionally your name. When you use our AI agents, we collect messages you send, agent responses, financial inputs you provide (used only for calculations), and session identifiers. We also automatically collect IP addresses, browser information, and page visit timestamps.

2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide the Services, generate financial projections, improve our AI agents, debug issues, prevent fraud, and analyze usage. We do NOT sell your data, share your financial inputs with others, use your data for advertising, or train AI on your conversations without consent.

3. Data Sharing
We share data only with: Google (Gemini API) to generate AI responses, analytics providers (Google Analytics and Posthog) to improve our service, hosting providers to run our servers, and legal authorities as required by law. When you use our AI agents, your conversation is processed by Google's Gemini API under their Terms of Service.

4. Data Retention
Account information is kept until you delete your account. Conversation logs and financial inputs are retained indefinitely to improve our AI models and debugging. Technical logs are retained as needed for administrative purposes.

5. Data Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and secured hosting infrastructure. However, no system is 100% secure. You use the Services at your own risk.

6. Your Rights
All users may request access to, deletion of, or correction of their data. EU/UK users (GDPR) have additional rights including data portability and objection to processing. Our Services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. AI Tools Disclosure
When you use our Investment Co-Pilot or FIRE Agent: your financial inputs are used solely to generate your simulation, conversations are logged indefinitely for service improvement, and your name is NOT included in generated documents (they are anonymous). Note that the chat history you see is stored locally on your browser.
